The adaptation of animals and plants to their environment is a series of varied biological processes with varying purposes, but the general purpose is the continued survival of the species. Four important plant/animal interactions are explored here: As the ant plant invites ants to live in it in order to get nitrogen, so the pitchers invite animals to die in them.

Herbivores (such as deer, elephants, horses) have teeth that are adapted to grind vegetable tissue. Herbivory is a form of consumption in which a heterotrophic organism consumes other organisms, principally autotrophs [page needed] such as plants, algae and photosynthesizing bacteria.more generally, organisms that feed on autotrophs in general are known as 1st level consumers The second trophic level consists of herbivores, these organisms gain energy by eating primary producers and are called primary consumers.

Examples of vertebrate animals are found in the animalia kingdom. Herbivores are animals that eat plants. In return, the plant offers protection to moth eggs and feed the larvae once they are born.

Having the ability to derive energy from plant and animal material. Give few examples of carnivores. The baltic rush grows up to three feet tall.

Omnivores are animals that eat plants and animals. Herbivory is an interaction in which a plant or portions of the plant are consumed by an animal. Carnivores are animals that survive only by eating other animals, whereas omnivores eat animals and plant material.

Some feed on grams and nuts. During the larval stage, it attaches to a specific species of milkweed that contains toxic chemical cardiac glycoside. It's seeds are on its long stem and when ready they drop.

Omnivores will eat almost anything, including eggs from other animals. Trophic levels three, four and five consist of carnivores and omnivores. They rely on both vegetation and animal protein to remain healthy.
